“We all loved our stay at Rock House. Couldn’t fault it at all. We were a mixed age group, grandparents through to 11 year olds and it suited all of us. The house has been beautifully renovated, with a mix of the modern (kitchen and bathrooms) and original. Beds were comfortable, the sitting room easily had room for us all to sit down together - a rarity. The games room was a real treat for everyone. The location is excellent - the house being at one end of the High Street, and the cathedral at the other. We hadn’t been to Wells before, there’s a lot to see. Thanks to the owners who were very friendly and clearly wanted us to have a great time - which we did. We are all looking for to our return trip.”

“A real home from home, with every facility you could possibly want in the kitchen, modern bathrooms on all 3 floors with toiletries provided, comfortable beds with crisp bed linen and an unexpectedly quiet location just at the end of the High Street so shops on your doorstep, and Cathedral and Bishops Palace a short walk away. 2 designated Car parking spaces were close by. 4 friends and I had a wonderful week exploring Wells and all the sights nearby.”

“We absolutely loved Rock House - a beautiful house, with obviously a lot of thought put into making it comfortable and providing everything needed for our stay. This included the best welcome hamper we’ve seen, good quality kitchen equipment and toiletries. The house is in a great location in the centre of Wells so an easy walk to the Cathedral etc and to the restaurants and shops.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here last week. It has been so tastefully renovated with a mix of modern amenities (kitchens/bathrooms) and furniture in keeping with the house. The house was spotlessly clean upon arrival and has everything you would need (even a heated airer for drying washing). We didn’t have any problems with the house during our stay. The stairs are a little steep but that’s typical for a house of this age and we managed fine. The location is fantastic with easy access to the high street and local supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance. The playroom with table football was a great hit with the kids (young and old). The owner popped in briefly soon after our arrival to check everything was ok which was great. Check-in and check-out is simple. The only slight disadvantage is the lack of parking at the house. We usually found a space on the road outside for loading and unloading but you are limited to 1h during the day. The dedicated parking is a 3 minute walk away.”
